I mean, i like watching it. But i having that asshole that is either screaming in your ear behind you to the team, when he knows the team can't hear him. The same goes for when its on TV. I enjoy it when i am by myself or with a friend who enjoys it the same way i do. Not the over obsessed people.

I think not. Coming from you that isn't really saying much. I would like be be aware of what in your mind justifies making such a comment. Besides nothing you say really matters at this point. The jets suck right now and as i see it you are just being a sore loser. Further more I would hope that by stating that you do not see yourself as a "man" because that would certainly not be the case.

Well seeing how I have been a Jets fan since 1997 when the Jets first hired Bill Parcells, I believe what I say matter more than you. You have only been a fan of the giants for about 2 years. Its nice to see you defending your team to the full extent. However its real easy when your team is doing well. You haven't really been a real fan when times have been hard. At this point it would be safe to conclude you are a bandwagon fan. I am not saying you are, but from common observation it may seem so.

There is no soreness in my Jets losing. As a Jet fan one thing that I am never shocked by is disappointment. Surely I would love to see the Jets where the Giants are right now. However I am bitter, and that is a common quality assosciated with an abundance of NY Jets fans. I could go on forever on the mistakes the jets have made and the ways they have been screwed over. History says the Jets are very unfortunate team to say the least.

In addition my comment on the Jets being a mans team was made in a jokingly manner but if I must defend it I will say this. Being a Jets fan builds character. The Jets are seen as the lesser New York team. They don't have their own stadium, they get constantly berated by the media, they are in a division with 2 teams that have gone undefeated (miami and new england) and the only team to make the superbowl 4 years in a row (buffalo). Sure they won once in the most important NFL game ever played but they have had the worst luck since.

Well yes I do see where you are coming from. My intentions were not to bring in personal matters yet I do see that my last sentence could have been seen that way. So i apologize for that. However, for the record and in risk of sounding like a five year old, you were the one who started this.

But I will defend myself on this. First of all I am in no way a bandwagon fan. It could seem like that for some reasons but I can can tell you for sure that I am not being a front runner. The giants did not have a good year last year so thats just an example. I will give you credit in being right in that I have only been a fan for two or so years but that is really just what you see. The reason i am a fan if the giants is due to my family. NOT due to their playing as a team. I grew up watching the giants as a kid and even went to one of their games.

I went through a period of time where I resented football and what seemed to me at the time as ridiculous obsession with the game. In some cases you and tj's intensity over the game. As seen in discussing the nfl arguing back and forth, and so on. And also what seemed at the time, over reacting about various things. (Fantasy draft day in particular) I was in a very defining point in my life and i was looking at everything i had known in a different way. And this country's obsession of a mere game at the time seemed rather ludicrous.

I have grown out of that though and realized that it isn't just some dumb game. I truly admire it and have grown a great appreciation for the game. One thing is for sure, if not just one team in particular, i have definitely become an over all fan of the game.

Getting back to the main thing though. When I said what you say doesn't matter at this point I wasn't talking about your devotion to your team or mine for that matter either. I was just annoyed by the fact that you continue to criticize and open your mouth about things in general when your team is doing poorly. It seems as though you are just being sore about it. It can also be perceived as rude. But you still have every right to do so. To me it tends to come off as a bit arrogant though. This is just my view on it. And for the record this is not meant to be a personal thing i just want to get this out between us. We are both mature enough to see it through, i am sure lol.

Well I have been a die hard Jet fan for as long as I can remember. I have had season tickets since 2003 when the jets had a dismal 6-10 record and incompetent coordinators such as Paul Hackett and Ted Cottrell. Not to mention the preacher in Herm. They were a talented team that consistently caught bad breaks and was very unfortunate. After coming off a magical 2002 season where Chad Pennington plays excellent and we bounce back from a 1-4 start to win our division. There was hope and it was lost. This is just one example of this. Another example is the 2005 season, 1999 season and clearly the 2007.

Anyway my point is that I am accustomed to seeing failure and as a Jets fan I am eternally humbled. We have to swallow our pride after all and go to Giants Stadium to see a Jets fan. I believe as you gain more knowledge about football and their fans you will see that each teams fans have distinctive qualities and arrogance is not assosciated with Jets fans. Honestly it is more so assosciated with Giants fans mostly due to their stature and how they are perceived in the media. The Giants are the 5th most popular team in football and the Jets are around 17 or higher. The Giants historically have had more success. Jets fans are aware and they are bitter. Any type of arrogance you might hear from a jets fan is usually sarcastic. I know mine is.

Nevertheless I am passionate about the Jets and I am no less a Jets fan when they win or lose. My support of the Jets when they have a had an awful year is in no way arrogance, your waving the flag of your teams success is more on the lines of arrogance.
